A tattooed paedophile who raped a 12-year-old school girl and sexually assaulted her seven year-old friend has been caged.

A jury at the High Court in Livingston took nearly seven hours to return majority verdicts finding the sex beast guilty of the charges. He was convicted of sexually assaulting the second girl when she was aged between 7 and 8 by placing his hands under her lower clothing touching and rubbing her private parts and sexually penetrating her with his finger.

Later, she said, he would sneak into her bedroom and touch her breasts and privates over her clothing. Both women gave what were described in court as “nuanced and detailed” accounts of what he had done to them and both submitted emotionally charged victim impact statements to the judge.
