Mr Borsak says the party supports evidence-based legislation, and they do not support American-style gun laws. Mr Borsak says that while John Howard’s gun reform legislation was necessary, their party was a major group to be oppressed by the changes, and that in decades since, government has further oppressed the fishers and farmers they represent.
