Two suspects have been arrested in Kuyasa, Khayelitsha near Cape Town, for allegedly hijacking a vehicle.
Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said the two suspects were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning shortly after police attached to Khayelitsha Cluster Operational Crime Combating unit received a complaint about the hijacking of a white Volkswagen Polo TSI. “Upon following up the leads they managed to track down the vehicle that was parked in Lwandle, Strand. The two suspects aged 21 and 28 respectively were arrested with two imitation firearms in their possession of which one was loaded with three rounds ammunition,” said Van Wyk.
