Jilumol George, 38, appeared before Lewes Crown Court - sitting at Brighton - charged with two counts of poisoning for allegedly unlawfully and maliciously administering paracetamol and opiates.

Jilumol George is charged with unlawfully and maliciously administering poisonA woman is set to go on trial this year charged with attempting to murder two children after they were rushed to hospital suffering from suspected poisoning.She was arrested on suspicion of administering a noxious substance or poison to cause injury.

She is also charged with two counts of poisoning for allegedly unlawfully and maliciously administering paracetamol and opiates so as to endanger the life of or inflict grievous bodily harm. George, of Uckfield, who spoke through an interpreter, sobbed as she appeared in court by video link.The two children and woman were rushed to hospital on February 8 after being discovered at a house in Uckfield.

'A 38-year-old woman and two children were located inside the property and taken to hospital for treatment.
