Washington , amid allegations of partisan gerrymandering in North Carolina and Maryland in cases that could fundamentally impact the balance of power in legislatures and Congress.
At issue is when politicians go too far in drawing lines for partisan gain, and it could be one of the most consequential cases of the court's term.
