Mohammed Hamid Hussain, 30, is due to appear in court tomorrow

A man has been charged with assault after an incident outside a takeaway in Failsworth. Police were called to reports a man was injured in Oldham Road, Failsworth, on Sunday evening . Mohammed Hamid Hussain, 30, of Hereford Street, Oldham, has now been charged with assault, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court tomorrow . Greater Manchester Police says it is continue to ask for anyone who may have seen anything from around the time of the incident to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Kate Dawson, from GMP’s Oldham district, said: “Officers are still working hard on the investigation from the weekend and while we have secured a charge, we are asking for anyone with any information to get in touch. “If you have any information related to this incident, please do let us know. This includes any relevant CCTV, doorbell, dashcam, or mobile phone footage. You can report information to 101 or gmp.police.uk, quoting log number 3222 of 17/03/24.
