A federal appeals court led by a Trump appointee Monday unanimously upheld the dismissal of afor failing to alert immigration authorities of the release of the immigrant who killed Kate Steinle.
Mirkarimi’s memo said employees could provide information to ICE only if it was already public, or if federal authorities obtained a warrant or court order and employees first checked with the sheriff’s legal counsel. Lopez-Sanchez, who was in the country without legal authorization, shot Steinle about 2½ months after being released from San Francisco jail.

The federal bench is the federal bench adding the presentment who appointed the judge implies that the outcome is not fair. We need to move past making everything partisan`.

If any authority figure was aware of an individual who may kill another; their parents should definitely receive assistance. This was a failure on the government to properly ensure safety of citizens
