The Unifil report confirms that the Israel Defense Forces has breached international law.

Demonstrators lift portraits of Reuters journalist Issam Abdallah and Al-Mayadeen TV reporter Farah Omar, killed in separate instances while covering the frequent exchanges of fire across Lebanon's border with Israel, while sitting in front of symbolic coffins and shrouds of children at a rally supporting Gaza in front of the National Museum building in Beirut on December 8, 2023.

“ IDF should conduct an investigation into the incident and a full review of their procedures at the time to avoid a recurrence,”that found that over a span of 22 years, the CPJ has recorded at least 20 instances of IDF soldiers firing at and killing Palestinian journalists. Despite numerous internal IDF investigations, no one has been charged or held responsible for these fatalities.
