The Conference of Islamic Organisations , an umbrella body for various Islamic organisations in Nigeria, has urged all those who lost out of elective positions in the last general elections to use wisdom while seeking redress in the courts of law.

“We are not saying they should not go to court totally, but do not go to court mischievously when know that you are not winning, and when you know you are going to Court for something that does not belong to you. He urged them to shun comments and utterances that could lead to violence, riot or hate, saying the blood of any Nigerian is not worth their emergence.

“Also, political parties should show ethics and be decent in their reactions. It is not fair that the same parties that praise INEC in one state will abuse INEC in others,” he said. “Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat should see their victory as a call to service and not a right. It is a privilege that must be well utilised,” Ahmad said.
