Government hopes the facility will alleviate the demand for justice services at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.

On Thursday, March 28, the government will, together with various civil society organisations, host the presidential launch of the Gender-Based Violence and Femicide Declaration and the opening of the Booysens Magistrate Court in Johannesburg reports theThe declaration is a result of the talks held during the 2018 National Gender-Based Violence and Femicide Summit, which was hosted in an effort to find solutions to the scourge of GBV and femicide.

According to the news agency, the state-of-the-art Booysens Magistrate Court offers a range of services and is fully equipped to support victims of gender-based violence and femicide. Government hopes this will alleviate the demand for justice services at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.
