Members of both chambers of US Congress have given a 'quite optimistic' outlook on the passage of a bill containing aid for Kyiv, Ukraine's justice minister has said. Denys Maliuska said during a visit to the Ukrainian embassy in Washington that Republicans and Democrats 'all agree that support shall be provided' and both camps should put aside 'divisions... aimed at internal needs'.
He said he met with a large number of Congress members and told them a failure to pass the bill would mean 'disaster on the battlefield'.
