At this juncture, Sen. Ana Theresia Hontiveros should now withdraw the arrest order she issued against Quiboloy, whom she cited in contempt for repeatedly ignoring summons for him to appear in the committee hearings she was conducting. Instead, Hontiveros should spearhead a resolution calling for Quiboloy's extradition.
Robinhood Padilla, who led the gathering of signatures to oppose Hontiveros' order, predicated such on his plea that the Senate should not prejudge Quiboloy, a man whom he considered a friend and a comrade in the anti-insurgency campaign. While the latter is irrelevant to Quiboloy's innocence or guilt, Padilla should not have any problem encouraging Quiboloy to face his accusers in the US and enjoy the benefits of the best legal defense his money can buy and being accorded due process.
