Amanda Williams was shot to death on Oct. 9, 2023.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The jury has reached a verdict in the trial for the 42-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his fiancé in Warrensville Heights in October 2023.

The trial for Tirrell Edwards began Feb. 26 in front of Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Steven Gall.Guilty of two counts of murder with a firearms specificationHe is scheduled to be sentenced on March 11. Edwards took the stand in his own defense on March 1 and said he fatally shot Amanda Williams in self-defense.

Williams, 46, was found shot to death around 11:41 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2023 in the family’s home in the 19700 block of Sunset Dr.EMS transported her to Cleveland Clinic-South Pointe Hospital, where she died from her injuries.Copyright 2023 WOIO. All rights reserved.
