Exclusive: Ken Paxton impeachment records reveal fights over witness testimony and alleged bullying

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, shown here during his impeachment trial in September 2023, was acquitted and restored to office last year. The Texas Newsroom received a trove of never-before-released documents pulling back the curtain on the historic proceedings.

Many of the records were requests from potential witnesses, including the woman with whom Paxton allegedly had an extramarital affair, not to produce documents or answer questions under oath.
