A retired police sergeant from New Jersey who recently lived in Texas City was sentenced for sharing child pornography.The U.S. Attorney's Office says 50-year-old Ryan N. Curving pleaded guilty to the charges on Aug. 22, 2023, and will have to serve 10 years in federal prison after a hearing on Tuesday. After his term is complete, he will have to serve 10 years on supervised release and comply with requirements designed to restrict his access to children and the internet.
