Fri, February 23rd 2024 at 11:58 AMA local township supervisor is facing a theft charge for allegedly stealing an air compressor meant for the township.
PSP Lancaster states an interview was conducted on Feb. 12 with another township supervisor who confirmed that Berry was responsible for several road crew members and making necessary purchases for the township. During their investigation, authorities determined that Berry had allegedly kept the old $1,399 air compressor at his home while purchasing a new $2,599 air compressor for the township.
After the interview with the supervisor, officers say they spoke with Berry who confirmed that the old air compressor was still in his garage and that he wanted to use its tank for his own current system.
