Former President Donald Trump’s calendar has been filled with court dates and campaign events for months as he continues to pursue the Republican presidential nomination while also facing prosecution for 91 felony counts spread across state and federal jurisdictions, creating a potential whirlwind of campaign and court hearings as Americans head to voting booths.

“How can you run for election if you’re sitting in a courthouse in Manhattan all day long?” he said outside the courtroom on Thursday. “Trump has stated that it's his way or the highway, that there is no compromise, there is no replacement for him and therefore, anybody who opposes him is corrupt and wrong and bad. That’s why when it comes time for the convention, it's gonna be mayhem,” said Alison Dagnes, a political science professor at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.

But it’s unclear if any of the cases he is facing will reach a conclusion by November as many involve complex webs of documents and testimony that could take months to navigate. That comes on top of attempts by his legal team to delay the cases for as long as possible. They have made requests in multiple cases to delay them after the election, saying that they amount to election interference in a broader complaint that the justice system is being weaponized against him.

The presidential rematch, which polling has also found the voting public is very unenthusiastic about, could also be a closely decided contest
