A man being chased by police and a helicopter across Brisbane’s southern suburbs allegedly jumped from his car and slashed an officer’s artery with a box cutter, a court has heard. Lucas Charles Morris Vincent Jarrod Dynevor, 31, was charged with resisting lawful arrest after police intercepted the car he was in at Carole Park, Ipswich, on Sunday morning. The police helicopter had followed the car, allegedly driven by Dynevor’s partner, 25-year-old Demi Liarma Law, across southern Brisbane before officers deployed tyre spikes to try to stop the vehicle when it reached Ipswich.“The defendant immediately ... jumps out, slashes with a knife causing a deep laceration,” police prosecutor Matt Kahler told the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.Dynevor, from Cherbourg, had a history of violence, including assault occasioning bodily harm, and obstructing police, the court hear
