The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has identified a pedestrian killed after being hit by a car on Three Notch Road in January.

while standing in the roadway on Three Notch Road near Emerald Drive when she was struck by 2017 Honda Civic driven by a 16-year-old from Irvington. Malinauskas was pronounced dead at the scene but could not be identified initially, authorities said. The body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences where her identity was later determined and confirmed, ALEA said.

The crash happened about a mile east of the Mobile city limits. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
