On Thursday morning, the “left winglet” of JetBlue Flight 777, an Airbus 321, struck the “right horizontal stabilizer” of JetBlue Flight 551—another Airbus 321—on the tarmac at Boston Logan International Airport,

Passengers were onboard the planes at the time, but Jennifer Mehigan, director of media relations at the Massachusetts Port Authority, said no injuries were reported in the “very minor” incident on the “de-icing area” of the tarmac, but both flights were canceled. In an emailed statement to Forbes, JetBlue confirmed the incident and said both planes will be taken out of service for repairs, adding that it will “work to determine how and why” the incident occurred.another investigation—headed by the National Traffic Safety Board—into a crash involving a single engine plane in Florida, which killed three.Thursday’s collision is the latest in a series of incidents involving major airlines across the country.
