Berdine Odendaal, the polo-playing rumoured former romantic interest of Steinhoff's Markus Jooste, has had her latest bid to unlock funds in one of her frozen bank accounts struck down.

Odendaal approached the Western Cape High Court last year in a bid to get the SA Reserve Bank to release R158 000 from one of her blocked bank accounts. Her bank accounts were blocked by the SARB three years ago on the suspicion that she received millions of rands in funds from a company linked to Jooste.
