The DA says his office has moved to seize her car but she has not been charged in the shooting that killed a 9-year-old girl. Police have charged three people who were in the car with felony murder in the death of a 9-year-old girl on Rhett Drive last month, and prosecutors this week filed a civil lawsuit in an attempt to seize 18-year-old Ricki Alexandria Thier’s car. Blackwood signaled that his office will be more aggressive in using the state’s civil forfeiture law.
The forfeiture complaint alleges that Thier was present when the defendants in the case were planning the Rhett Drive shooting and allowed them to use her car. But police have not arrested the Mobile woman or another teenager who prosecutors contend were in the vehicle during that shooting. Thier also has not been charged with any crimes related to a drive-by shooting that occurred on Racine Drive within a little more than hour of the Rhett Drive shooting. No one was hurt in that shooting. Police charged the two alleged shooters, Tyrone Deairus Williams, 19 and Darius Lucky Jr
