The Osun State Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja, on Friday, said that Adeleke won the election and that the rerun held by the Independent National Electoral Commission was illegal.
Since the judgement was made public, Adeleke has been trending on Twitter, as users congratulated him. However, some users warned that the legal battle was not over, as the tribunal’s judgement may be challenged at the Appeal Court.
They took Ekiti and Osun States by any which way just to avoid the bandwagon effect on the Presidential election. Now Osun has slipped off their hands. By the power of God, Ekiti too will slip and they will ultimately lose the Presidency.Congratulations to the people of Osun and Adeleke. Great victory for democracy in Nigeria.
Of course PDP needs to also prepare for the Appeal court and Supreme Court. Oyetola won’t give up power that easily. But I am hopeful evil won’t be left to reign that long.
There's nothing wrong celebrating the first victory at the tribunal. The illegal APC government would have celebrated more if it went in their favour.
