Seven local kids in need of a loving home were welcomed into new families. All of them were in foster care. With the crack of a gavel, the Hoffman family grew by one.Christopher Hoffman and his husband Jake have fostered 67 kids over the last 16 years."We're like Peter Pan, and all the kids that find us are like the lost boys. The ones who go away for us, they're never far away. They'll always be part of the Hoffman tribe," Jake Hoffman said.
On this day, seven kids were adopted from their foster homes. Six different families changed forever. Franklin County Children's Services says on a typical 'adoption day', only one or two kids are placed in permanent homes."He'll be 18 in April, so he's almost there, so you know it's a great story of it never too late up until the last second you can get your wish and your miracle, and Adrian represents that for us," Christopher Hoffman added.
Jake and Christopher say no one ever outgrows the need for love from a caring family and a sense of belonging."You don't want to say no when they call you. They say, 'Where can we put this one?' You want to say yes to all of them," Christopher added.
