Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has on Tuesday charged members of the National Youth Service Scheme, NYSC to consider the unity of Nigeria as their cardinal principle.

The Governor gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony of NYSC Batch 'C' Stream 1 at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Dazigau, Nangere local government area of the state. Declaring the exercise open, Governor Buni commended the Youth Service Scheme for being at the forefront of youth engagement in the country, as well as fostering unity among Nigerians.

He urged them to participate fully in all camp activities, be patriotic, law-abiding citizens and take the orientation programme seriously, adding that the programme will provide them with the opportunities and necessary exposure required to re-adjust their lives and build self-confidence.
