The Adamawa State High Court, which granted an interim injunction halting preparations for conduct of the supplementary governorship election scheduled for March 23, has extended the injunction. After taking arguments from counsels to the different parties in the case at its sitting on Thursday, the court adjourned to Tuesday, March 26 for ruling, thereby further extending the interim order against the supplementary election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had on Wednesday told newsmen in Yola whether it would conduct the supplementary election or not would depend on the stand of the court on a case by a governorship candidate suing it for not including his party logo on the ballot paper for the March 9 governorship election in the state.
