Mr Satchwell (57) who is originally from Leicester in the UK but was living in Grattan Street in Youghal, Co Cork, was charged with the murder of his wife Tina at a special sitting of Cashel District Court last month

Richard Satchwell, who was previously charged with the murder of his wife Tina Satchwell, has been further remanded in custody for a month having appeared at Clonmel District Court in Co Tipperary this morning.Tina Satchwell was reported missing six years ago last March. The missing persons case was upgraded to a murder investigation last month. The remains of the 45-year-old were found buried in her home by gardai searching the property on October 11 last.

Mr Satchwell, who appeared by video link from prison, told Judge Brian O’Shea that he consented to the further remand in custody. Judge O’Shea remanded Mr Satchwell in custody until December 5 next. Meanwhile, Mr Satchwell first appeared in court on October 14 in connection with the alleged offence.
