The convicts; Kazeem Agbabiaka, Femi Oyebode, Abdul-Rasheed Ojonla, Babatunde Oluajo, Adebiyi Kehinde, Oyebanji Oyeniyi and Ismaila Azeez were arraigned in court on October 19, 2018. Delivering the judgement on Tuesday, Justice Emmanuel Ayoola convicted the 5 persons over the offences hinged on conspiracy, advance-fee fraud, and cyberstalking, among others.
The judge, who said the accused persons portend grave danger to society, added that most of the victims of similar occurrences often resort to not coming out to the public. The 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th defendants, Kazeem Agbabiaka, Femi Oyebode, and Babatunde Oluajo respectively were convicted and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment having been found guilty of the 1st and 2nd count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence.
