Court strikes out Streram’s misfeasance in public office suit

THE Court of Appeal today struck out Dr S. Streram’s misfeasance in public office suit against the Election Commission and a former returning officer. A three-man bench, comprising justices Ahmadi Asnawi, Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil and Suraya Othman, struck out the suit by Dr Streram, Pakatan Harapan’s Rantau candidate in the 14th general election, by allowing an appeal by then returning officer Amino Agos Suyub and the EC to set aside a high court dismissal of their strike-out application.
