SINGAPORE: The wife and four children of a doctor who died in 2021 tussled in court over his life savings of S$4 million, even though he made a will in 2012 stating that the money held in two bank accounts should be equally divided among his four children.

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail should stop defending the proposed amendments to citizenship laws “as it callously ignores the plight of the stateless”, says Lawyers for Liberty .

He said this in a statement on Thursday in response to Saifuddin's statement justifying the amendments to the Federal Constitution related to citizenship laws in Parliament on Wednesday . He said that the National Registration Department deliberately ignoring clear provisions of the law and obfuscating the citizenship process are the primary causes of the prolonged suffering of the stateless.
