“I think that’s just another thing, these guys have very little regard for human life, certainly no regard for the legal process,” said Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar. Once an arrest is made, it’s up to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office to determine what charges the minor will face and if a request will be filed to have that minor certified as an adult.
“Of course, when a youth is accused of committing a crime with a firearm, that is going to be taken very, very seriously and if the youth is old enough to be certified, we would probably ask for certification,” said Davis.
