The governor challenges the decision of INEC not to conduct supplementary polls.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission not to go ahead with its plan to collate, conclude and announce the results of the governorship election in Bauchi State held on March 9.

In the ex-parte motion, the APC and Mr Abubakar prayed for an order of interim injunction restraining INEC from resuming, concluding or announcing the result of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State in respect of the governorship election. The governor wants supplementary polls to be conducted. On Monday, he met with President Muhammad Buhari and vowed to challenge INEC’s volte face in court.

Objecting to the application of INEC, the counsel to the plaintiffs, Ahmed Raji, informed the court that the order issued on Monday asking the electoral body to show cause why the requests of the plaintiffs should not be granted had not been obeyed.

There was a country

With this, one day all citizens would be ordered to .......

But this same inecnigeria refused atiku access and didn't listen to the court order

The way things are unfolding, I foresee court restraining democracy in its entirety. So pathetic!

I still dey laugh o

They should just announce PDP winner

INEC should do like Buhari abeg

Wiseman88923439 Who then should collate the result?

The efficacy Of the state Governor's visit to Buharigger. Haha

Whether or whethernt, you can't stay a day longer come May 29th. This APC rubbish will not lead you anywhere. Nonsense 😤

KadariaAhmed Nigeria is a funny place... On another note, it seems that our governors have mastered the 'art' of getting injunctions whenever they're cornered. As to our judiciary, hmmm...

All this court orders, are anti democratic

Do we obey court in Nigeria?

Just this morning the court sory cut stopped me from bathing.

Them go flog flog. Na them go tire

This tactics will not stand. Its time everyone decide to be mad

These fraudulent courts will soon set this country on fire.

In the end OfficialPDPNig go still win

Lol, which court?

Lets wait and see INEC double standard playing out here. They said no court can stop them from conducting supplementary election in Taraba. I expect nothing to stop them from completing the collation of Bauchi result too

Which Kain court be that!

Only in Nigeria

Our Judiciary is a mess. How do you stop INEC from concluding and announcing the results of an election. Anyone dissatisfied with the results has recourse to the election tribunal not 'arresting' the results. INEC will do well to ignore such patently illegal order

Useless court ...

Na watin concern court in INEC matter.... Let the looser loose please.

PoliticalProph2 Good one, they’ve no constitutional power to reverse their decision or pronouncements, it’s a constitutional issue.

why do I have this strong feeling the fall out from this election will see to the disintegration of this country

No Court has power to restraint INEC from conducting election. If you are in doubt check section 87 sub 10 of the Electoral Act. Also this is what the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Adamawa said when a court in Adamawa restraint him from conducting election.

I hope such court won't bar atiku from going to court

The Governor visited the President yesterday and boom court order INEC to stop collation...Buhari has turned all the agencies to his tools, smh. RIP to democracy in Nigeria

One day court will stop marriage ceremony, this is Nigeria

Collation is ongoing, that court order will be disobeyed

What's the way forward in this?

Scam another device to truncate the right of the people

No matter what the circumstances gov M.A of bauchi has failed woefully hence rejected by his own people he should just concede defeat.

Collation is currently on progress, no room for black market..

After the Governor's visit to Buhari
