A lawyer for former President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign attorney Jenna Ellis said Wednesday that he believes former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani should be worried about the 13 charges he faces in the wide-ranging Georgia racketeering case.
Ellis pleaded guilty to one felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings in Georgia last week in exchange for no jail time and five years of probation. She also agreed to work with prosecutors in the future, including by testifying in the larger case. She was also ordered to pay a $5,000 restitution to the Georgia Secretary of State's Office, complete 100 hours of community service, and issue an apology letter to the state of Georgia.
"If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges. I look back on this experience with deep remorse," Ellis said.
