A 27-year-old man from Richmond has been arrested twice by Campbell River RCMP on drug-trafficking charges. The man was found in possession of various drugs and a significant amount of cash. He was released with a future court date after the first arrest but was later found to be continuing his drug-selling activities. A search warrant led to the discovery of more drugs and cash. The man has been released on the condition that he stays away from Campbell River.

Mounties first arrested the man on Oct. 18, seizing 10 grams of fentanyl, 64 dilaudid pills, five grams of crack cocaine, two grams of cocaine and nearly two grams of methamphetamine, along with $845, Campbell River RCMP said in a news release.

The man’s car was also seized as property related to a criminal offence and he was released with a future court date, police said. Officers determined the man continued to sell drugs in the city after his first arrest and executed a search warrant on a hotel room being used by him. There, they found 19 grams of fentanyl, 693 dilaudid pills, 34 grams of crack cocaine, nearly eight grams of cocaine, seven grams of methamphetamine and $8,400.Police are recommending numerous related to trafficking.
