New York Attorney General Letitia James warned of a 'cascade of delays' by the former president in a new court filing.

New York Attorney General Letitia James accused former President Donald Trump of trying to 'sow chaos' by attempting to delay his business fraud trial in a new court filing Monday night.James is suing Trump for $250 million, accusing him of inflating his net worth by billions of dollars to obtain benefits such as better bank loans and reduced tax bills between 2011 and 2021.

Trump's legal team then filed for a notice of appeal in October. The return date for that motion is November 13. In response, James said, 'This Court should reject defendants' attempt to upend a highly public trial that will already have been ongoing for six weeks by the time of the return date for defendants' motion.'James also warned that disrupting the trial would cause a 'cascade of delays' for Trump's other legal matters.
