U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan on Sunday reinstated the gag order that prohibits Trump from criticizing Department of Justice special counsel Jack Smith or witnesses who might be called to testify about his alleged efforts to subvert the 2020 election results.
"He's a very wealthy guy, but nobody likes to have their money taken away from them by the government without a hearing, without a trial. She's allowed to do that, just impose the fine, and he's got to pay it. My guess is that's where she'll go.""No jury has been chosen yet," he said. "… He has been critical of two witnesses. One, his former vice president, Mike Pence, the other his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.
Napolitano said Trump's inalienable right to freedom of expression should not be suppressed by a gag order.
