An 18-year-old from South Hills was killed by a man responsible for maintenance work at the complex she lived in.

More than four years after Silindile Kunene was raped and murdered on March 6, 2019, at her home in the Fever-Tree Complex in South Hills, Johannesburg, Osborne Lorenzo Bors has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for his crimes.

Bors was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment for count one, 20 years for count two and five years for count three. Counts two and three will run concurrently.
