Trump says 'we will win' during break in civil fraud trial proceedings Oct. 25, 2023

Trump called for the case to end as he left the lower Manhattan courthouse following an hour-long meeting behind closed doors with his legal team, New York Attorney General Letitia James and lawyers from her office and the judge. He said the AG's 'chief witness' - his former personal attorney Michael Cohen - had 'admitted he lied' during his testimony earlier Wednesday. 'He said, ‘I lied.’ numerous times.

And then he said, as per the best television show you’ll ever imagine, he said, me, ‘I did not ask him to manipulate figures.’ That should be the end of the case,' Trump told reporters, before leaving in his motorcade. Cohen began testifying Tuesday - facing off with his former boss for the first time in five years. He wrapped up his testimony Wednesday. The trial is set to continue Thursday morning when another witness will be called by the AG's office.
