According to an extreme risk protection order petition filed by an officer at PPB, Garner had sent an email to his former girlfriend telling her that he thought of torturing his former wife, shooting and killing people at Mt. Hood Meadows and that after reading an email about the Craggin Classic, he thought about killing people rock climbing at Smith Rock.
He also wrote that he planned to kill himself in the mountains “before I hurt anyone else besides myself.” In his email, he complained that he would not be able to afford the child support he was required to pay his former wife.
