Donald Trump was fined $10,000 by a New York judge on Wednesday for violating a limited gag order barring personal attacks on court staffers.
Judge Arthur Engoron called Trump to the witness stand to explain a comment he made outside of the courtroom about "a person who's very partisan sitting alongside" the judge. A narrow gag order was imposed on Oct. 3 after Trump made a social media post maligning the judge's principal law clerk, who sits beside Engoron in court.
Trump was ordered to take down the post but it continued to show up on his campaign website for weeks. It prompted a $5,000 fine."Don't do it again or it'll be worse," Engoron said. Former Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen was on the witness stand again Wednesday to testify against his ex-boss in the
