Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker told Newsmax on Wednesday that the ongoing legal cases against former President Donald Trump "don't impact the support" from many voters.
He added: "At the end of the day, they're picking a president … their job is to determine who could do the job the best, and I think, you know, the polls are showing very clearly that at least in the early states, that Donald Trump is very popular." Whitaker said on Wednesday that the legal cases against Trump, who has been sued in New York and indicted in Georgia, Florida, Manhattan, and Washington, D.C., "don't impact the support from a lot of folks."
