The PUTRA pro tem committee chairman says there has been no news from the RoS for six months now.

KUALA LUMPUR: The pro tem committee of Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia or PUTRA has filed a judicial review application at the High Court here, seeking a court order for the approval of the party’s registration.

The committee, through its chairman Ibrahim Ali, is seeking a mandamus order from the court for the respondents to approve the party’s registration under Section 7 of the Societies Act 1966. Speaking to reporters at the court complex here today, Ibrahim said he was disappointed with the RoS’ delay in approving the party’s application, which has been pending for six months now.“I do not know why it is taking them such a long time to approve our application,” he said, adding that they had followed all the necessary guidelines including filing an online application on Aug 13 before submitting a hard copy to the RoS four days later.

As he understood it, he said, approvals are made by the RoS director-general. However, he claimed the application had been sent to the home minister.
