Senzo Meyiwa murder trial continues on Tuesday with the cross-examination of witness Lt-Col. Hadebe

The defence alleges that Sibiya was tortured on several occasions and forced to participate in pointing out the crime scenes. However, Hadebe disputed that Sibiya was assaulted.

While concluding her testimony, Magistrate Vivian Cronje was grilled for failing to act. This relates to when Ntanzi was taken to her for the alleged confession. Advocate Zandile Mshololo also questioned Cronje about her dismissing the assault on Tanzi. An interpreter at the Boksburg Magistrates Court, Tshepiso Motlhaping, was the state’s new witness on the stand.

Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng cautioned lawyers about bringing up evidence that was never presented in court.
