There are two seats open on the Pa. Superior Court with each carrying 10-year terms.

Three of the four candidates for Pennsylvania Superior Court shared their judicial philosophies and love of dogs and ice cream with the PennLive editorial board on Monday.No other information about the accident was released by the campaign. A Battista campaign spokesperson told PennLive that she could return to the campaign trail next week.

Lane said her approach to the judiciary is “that everybody has a voice, and everybody is treated with dignity and respect.”Smail, who worked as a probation and parole officer while attending law school, has spent nine years on the Westmoreland County bench but has spent 26 years involved in the law. Asked about judicial activism, the three candidates said that personal beliefs should remain outside the courtroom.
