A jury has heard how the gunman who killed Ashley Dale was "drunk and rowdy" less than three hours before the shooting and was seen with a bag of cocaine.
On Monday Peers continued answering questions from his barrister, Peter Wright, KC, and from barristers representing the other defendants. Stanley Reiz, KC, representing Barry, asked Peers about what was happening in the flat between 8.28pm and around 10.10pm on August 20, when Witham and Peers left in a grey Hyundai, later identified as the car that carried the shooter to the scene.
But Mr Reiz suggested that by 10pm, Witham had become "more and more intoxicated". He asked: "There came a time when asked Mr Witham to quieten down because he was becoming quite rowdy?. Mr Witham wouldn’t calm down, he was still loud and rowdy?” We also treat our community members to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners. Peers has told the jury he had no knowledge of any "beef" between his co-defendants and Lee Harrison, and had been on friendly terms with both Harrison and Ashley.
