Geoffrey Cox is attempting to win over Eurosceptic Tory MPs and the DUP with new legal advice stating that Britain will be able to break off from the Irish backstop under the terms of the Vienna convention, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

In the advice the Attorney General states that Britain will be able to end the backstop if it having a "socially destabilising effect on Northern Ireland", which would be considered a "fundamental change" of circumstances under the terms of the treaty.

Anyone taking advice from a self important lawyer has to be a bit daft let's face it, they don't know everything although they like to think so

Can you trust a legal advisor who changes his advice. I would not !!!

It was and is very hard task and especially with kind of opposition she is facing,it is becoming harder

Doesn’t matter now. Short of no Brexit Little England will be smaller and poorer for years to come.

She’s “once, twice, three times a shady lady” 🎼🎤🎼🎤

In other words “s omeone” just needs to call mass protests out on the streets as happened in protest to the Anglo Irish Agreement, which lead to the Good Fri AGR. Ie; Civil Distrubances, Sounds dubious to me. Threaten civil disobedience and we can get out of Backstop. Democracy?

Or in non Torygraph land.

Sounds like an issue that could be argued right up to the European Court of Justice🤔🤔

She needs a priest, not a lawyer

Bollocks.
