The inquest into the death of US tourist Rosalyn Joy Few, who was killed while on a pony and trap trip last year, opened at the coroner's court in Killarney today.
Coroner for south and east Kerry, Aisling Quilter, said a post-mortem examination had found that Ms Few, of Phoenix, Arizona, had died at the Gap of Dunloe on 9 April 2018, of blunt force trauma due to a fall on rocks from a pony and trap, causing traumatic brain injury.Ms Few's partner Normand La Rose, originally from Canada and living in Phoenix, Arizona, was killed in the same incident.
