Manchester United icon Denis Law has paid tribute to former teammate Sir Bobby Charlton, describing him as an 'unbelievable player' and 'a gentleman'.
Charlton, who scored 249 goals in 758 appearances for United, enjoyed a 17-year playing career with the Reds, winning a cluster of trophies, including the European Cup in 1968. And for Law, who spent 11 years at United, playing for the club between 1962 and 1973, it was something of a privilege to have been able to play alongside Charlton. "On the rare occasion they did manage to deflect it, it would drop nicely to me to finish it off. We had many special and successful years together and he was a joy to play with.
