Prosecuting British soldiers over Bloody Sunday would set a dangerous precedentWhat is abominable to me about the proposals to put on trial soldiers alleged of shooting at protesters on Bloody Sunday, is not just that they relate to events of nearly fifty years ago, but that dozens of terrorists who murdered not only those soldiers' colleagues but many innocent civilians too, have never been brought to account. So it’s OK to kill if you think it’s in the best interest of the state, Tebbit must agree with Saudi’s killing Khashoggi, Russia trying to kill Skripal, killing is killing The republicans and loyalists were prosecuted and found guilty, but were released in 1998 because their crimes occurred after March 1972. Bloody Sunday happened in Jan 1972, convict the soldiers, no one is above the law. Not convicting sets a more dangerous precedent, allowing British soldiers to participate in mass murder on ‘British soil’ not a good look.

It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? I’ve never heard of a place called londonderry 🤔
