Survivors of gun violence and families of victims whose lives were taken in mass shootings are taking Senate Democrats to task for failing to champion pending legislation to address gun violence.

The effort is aimed at Democrats who are "self-proclaimed champions" of gun control, especially 2020 presidential candidates.

The group faults the Democratic senators for not delivering floor speeches, let alone trying to advance the legislation through the Judiciary Committee. The House bills would tighten U.S. laws, including requiring background checks on all commercial gun sales, including those at gun shows and over the internet.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader, is highly unlikely to allow the bill to come for a vote and President Trump has vowed to veto it should it ever pass.

How about getting rid of the criminals who commit murder instead. Like Carranza..oh wait..illegal immigrant so he has a pass..plus he stabbed her to death. How about enforcing death penalty..oh wait Cali gov gives all a pass because his constituents' dont count. Bless your heart.

Dems don't have any answers that wouldnt violate the Constitution.

But they all marched around. Are we saying that didn’t work?

Or maybe just enforce legislation already on the books....

The illogical demand for additional gun legislation is the fact that existing legislation wasn't enforce that would have prevented these attacks. We don't need more laws just enforce the ones that exist. This is just political fodder to get individuals re/elected.

Unfortunately, there are too many people who think life isn’t worth living unless they can have any gun of their choosing. Their wants and needs come first.
